Here’s my list of the top 5 best & amazing books I’ve read this year. I’ve only read 60 books this year so far; there’s not a lot of time to read with working and all, but here goes my list.
Table of Contents
1) The Cruel Prince
Starting off strong, we have the Folk of Air series by Holly Black. It’s a fantasy series which focuses more on political issues than romance. But it does include an enemies-to-lovers type of romance, but it’s only about 35% of the book. I had an amazing time reading it and rated all three books 5 stars
2) Throne Of Glass
In second place, we have the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas. While I’ve started the series and have yet to finish, I’m already enjoying it. It is also a fantasy series with a lot of world-building, which I mean all of her books are like that. I know some people don’t like Sarah J. Maas books because they believe it’s overrated, but I happen to love it, 5 stars!
3) Heartless
Coming in 3rd place, we have the amazing “Heartless” by Marissa Meyer. I just had to include this in my top 5. I’ve already posted my review of this book on my blog. Obviously, 5 stars!
Review here: Heartless by Marissa meyer: a retelling of Alice in wonderland
4) The Serpent and the Wings of Night
In fourth place, we have “The Serpent and the Wings of Night” by Carissa Broadbent. This is another fantasy book in a world with vampires and humans. The main character goes through a tournament and the stakes are high. I loved this book because it reminded me of the Hunger Games, and I loved those movies and books. 5 stars!
5) Legendborn
Finally, we have in fifth place, drum roll… the Legendborn series by Tracy Deonn. I don’t really have to say much about this duology. The characters were likable, lots of twists and turns, oh and also an enemy-to-lovers romance! The world-building and details were amazing, 5 stars.
Best And Amazing books I’ve Read This Year
There were more books that I’ve read this year that could be on this list, but these are just my top 5 amazing books. Let me know if you’ve read any of these and what your rating was!
TOG is part of my all-time fave series list. I loved all the characters and I can’t count the number of times I’ve re-read the series. Plenty of people prefer ACOTAR over TOG but personally, the latter is way better. Oh, and have you read the War of Lost Hearts series by Carissa Broadbent? That’s another favourite of mine. Haven’t gotten around to reading the Crowns of Nyaxia series since I’m a binge-reader & I’m waiting for all the books to be released.
I agree I’ve also read ACOTAR but I think TOG is better. I haven’t read the war of lost hearts series yet. I have heard of it but haven’t gotten to it yet.(large TBR), but I’ll definitely read it in 2024. Thanks for sharing!
That’s high praise. I haven’t read any of these, but you’ve hit my favorite genre here, so I’m definitely going to take a deeper look at them. Thanks for the receommendations!
No problem, thanks for viewing!!
