Six Of Crows by Leigh Bardugo is the first book in a thrilling fantasy duology that captivates readers with its intricate world-building and compelling characters. Set in the Grishaverse, this series serves as a captivating spin-off from the renowned Shadow & Bone trilogy. And though I have to admit I did not read the Shadow and Bone trilogy, I did watch the Netflix series. But that’s what led me to read the Six of Crows duology. I really wanted to follow Kaz, Inej, Jesper, Wylan, Matthias, and Nina’s story! And I have to say it was amazing!
Six Of Crows By Leigh Bardugo Overview
“Six of Crows” plunges into the heart of the Grishaverse, where Kaz Brekker is tantalizingly presented with the opportunity to orchestrate a nearly impossible heist that could pave his way to unimaginable riches. Assembling a motley crew including the convict Matthias, the sharpshooter Jesper, the runaway rich kid Wylan, the enigmatic Inej, and the powerful heartrender Nina, the story unfurls with the unveiling of secrets and the forging of unexpected, powerful bonds among these captivating characters.
Thoughts And Ratings
I absolutely loved diving into the world of “Six of Crows”. It’s an exhilarating adventure, teeming with action, suspense, and just a hint of romance. To truly appreciate the world building, I’d recommend reading the Shadow and Bone trilogy first. The characters are so endearing, it’s impossible not to become deeply attached to them. The witty banter among the group adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the reading experience. While romance plays a part, it’s not the sole focus. The evolving sense of family among the group is truly heartwarming – I’ve always been a sucker for the found family trope. In my opinion, this novel deserves a 6 out of 5 stars – it absolutely lives up to the hype!
